It's Monday March 20th, probably will head out at 9PM Eastern. I don't know because I hear though it is fast I don't think Maior can make it. Depends on who shows up.

Sometimes we have to play these things by ear.

AF Hands Darkspark

AF Hands, Darkspark fight, is scheduled for Monday, March 20th at 6:30PM Pacific/9:30PM Eastern. The folks who said they wanted to do this together are Kitchel, Tamara, Kamustaka.

So that gives you two weeks to locate your Coffer. Make sure you have the Quest before you open the Coffer!

Well, My key just HAPPENS to be in Castle Zvahl, and guess where you get to fight that mean ol' bomb? You guessed it! So I was thinking maybe after the fight, since there's alreay a party up in the area, we could get my Coffer. Just a thought. (This, of course, means count me in for the fight ^^. Pisk will too if he's around, he needs to kill it as well.)

I am agreeable, willing to help, but I don't do much damage against coffer mobs. I am just good for a bit of healing.

Never Really Heard

So this thread was about folks wanting to farm Coffer Keys, here is who I heard from:

Kaliv: needs a coffer key

Tamara: still needs a coffer key from scenic Garlaige (got one from Beaudeaux - thanks everyone!)

Kitchel: does not need a key, but would appreciate some help clearing mobs (not sure what she means, maybe clear around the coffer so she can pick it?) when she can go up one more level and wear her +INT hat

So we will try to pull together a roving Coffer Key Party on Monday Evening. For those who need AF coffer keys we will do the traditional Clan /random throughout the night and lowest roll will pick where we are farming.

Then we will stay and farm for a 2nd (or 3rd key) if needed (traveling uses up time). If no more AF key(s) needed for the current location then we will /random again and move the party to a new location. We will go with Maior's suggestion: you camp your coffer(s) on your own.

This is just a roving AF coffer key party, so likely not too much excitement! LOL! =^_^=

Do you mean Monday 27th of Feb? The same day as the scheduled Promy run?

Also, I'm not 100% certain the Promy run will be going on... I know I wont be able to be there (Tuesday I have an early morning meeting, and they will be starting entirely too late for me), but I haven't seen any confirmation from Milo that it is still going on.

I'll probably come on about 7:30PM or 8:30PM Eastern; if this key-farming is already underway I will probably join it. If it is not underway I will try to get it started.

If you are trying to decide whether to join a key-farming group or a Promyvion Run group I suggest you join the Promyvin Run group =^_^=

key farming

Being a thief, I don't need the key but would be glad to come help everyone farm for theirs. However, not sure what night or nights I will be playing. But should definately be on monday night around 6ish pacific time.

Dark Spark is a joke.

Assuming we can get your coffer keys and actual coffer, there is no reason why we cannot do this on back to back days. This, of course is under the premise that once a player receives his/her coffer key, he/she will attempt to find the coffer and open it on the same day.

If not, just let me know whatever you all decide.

Coffers/Keys

Just my 2 cents (since I've done this now with two jobs and helped others).

Generally you go out and farm for keys as a group. Depending on how many keys you need and how good the drop rate is (bring a THF) this could take a while. For example, for my MNK Garliage Citadel key I actually farmed for 2 weeks (pick up parties) before I actually got the drop for myself. But later on when I came back to Garliage Citadel, everyone in my group was able to get their keys in a couple of hours.

After everyone has their keys, I recommend people just find the coffers on their own. Each coffer has like a 15-30 min respawn window, which means if you drag people around you have to wait a long time between each spawn.

Personally, I suggest people camp their own coffers. Bring sneak/invis and just sit it out until you can get a spawn.

As for Dark Spark, yes, he is a joke. Seriously, drag a couple of people in this LS who are 65+ and you wont even need to sneak/invis people to the torch :-)
